The Discrete Inputs Simulator Adapter module for the GE Fanuc Series 90-70 Programmable Logic Controller provides discrete input signals simulation for the 32 TTL Inputs module IC697MDL651. The simulator has 16 two-position switches and four digit BCD thumbwheel on the front. Each switch simulates a discrete input device. The module is mounted at the front of the input module, thus replacing the terminal block. The module does not require any field connections or external power.
The Discrete Inputs Simulator Adapter module is a valuable training and demonstration tool, since it can be used to substitute the real inputs while running program on the PLC. It can also be very useful during development to assist in debugging and troubleshooting programs. It can also be kept permanently attached to the system to provide 16 conditional input contacts and a numerical entry device.

The Discrete Outputs Simulator Adapter module for the GE Fanuc Series 90-70 Programmable Logic Controller provides discrete output signals display for the 32 Points 5 48 V Outputs module IC697MDL753. The simulator has sixteen LEDs and four digit BCD display on the front. The LEDs display current status of the outputs signals and the BCD display allows to display an integer number of the range 0 9999.
The adapter module is mounted at the front of the output module, and it replaces the terminal block. The simulator requires +5V power which is taken from another simulator module or from the backplane through connector supplying power for expansion rack. The simulator adapter requires an additional cable - either KR697CBL001 or KR697CBL002.
The Discrete Outputs Simulator Adapter module is a valuable training and demonstration tool, since it can be used to display current status of output signals while the program is running on the PLC. It could be very useful during development to help debugging and troubleshooting programs. It may also remain permanently attached to the system to provide sixteen status display lights and a numerical display.
